Camille W. Steward is in-house counsel with Nashville Electric Service. She received her undergraduate degree from Fisk University in 1996 and her J.D. from the University of Tennessee in 2000. Prior to joining NES in 2011, Ms. Steward was a member of the law firm Miller & Martin PLLC. In 2012, Ms. Steward was recognized in the Nashville Post as a rising law leader. She was a member of the 2008 class of Tennessee Bar Association’s Leadership Law, and she is a member of the Lawyers Association for Women and the Napier Looby Bar Association. Ms. Steward formerly served as a member of the Nashville Bar Association’s Minority Opportunities Committee.

Steward wrote a comment on the widely discussed essay “Why Women Can’t Have It All” published in the August 2012 issue of Law Matters and she was a panel member at the Lawyer’s Association for Women’s December 2012 meeting discussing related topics. She often serves as a mentor to law students both formally and informally, particularly students with minimal exposure to the legal profession. Ms. Steward spends her free time with her husband, two small children, and friends.
