Cathy CasterCatherine A. Caster

Catherine A. Caster is a solo practitioner specializing in general civil law and litigation. Prior to private practice, she was a government attorney for 15 years: first, with the State Attorneys General Office and then with the Tennessee Department of Transportation. She graduated with a B.F.A. in acting and directing from West Virginia University and a Masters (ABT) in theatre history from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. After living in New York City for 13 years, she returned to the south and graduated from Nashville School of Law in 1996.

Caster has chaired the State Attorney’s CLE Committee, which produces 11 hours of legal education annually, for 13 years. In 2007, she received the Bar Association’s Excellence Award for Continuing Legal Education. She is a board member of Ellington Place Condominiums and a Eucharistic priest at St. James the Less Episcopal Church. She is a strong advocate for mentoring and believes that education changes everything.
